The masters of dark metal are back! Legendary Sarah Jezebel Deva and Chris Rehn have returned to the forefront of metal with a new project named Torn Between Two Worlds - a continuation of their previous project, Angtoria. Now, Sarah Jezebel Deva (ex-Cradle Of Filth, Therion, Hecate Enthroned, Angtoria, The Kovenant, Mortiis) and Chris Rehn (Takida, Angtoria, Abyssos) have released their stunning new single "The Beauty Of Deception". The band will also release another new single digitally on 2nd May called "All Eyes On Me".
Torn Between Two Worlds have extended all the sonic colours on their established palette to dazzling effect. Sarah’s trademark vocals are beautifully complemented by opulent keyboards and majestic orchestrations. Drawing on their combined decades of experience Chris weaves a new, modern sound that is a telling sign of his outstanding mastery of the craft.
Spawned from the friendship and working relationship of Chris Rehn and Sarah Jezebel Deva, Torn Between Two Worlds is another evolution in a long and marked career in metal. The journey of Torn Between Two Worlds began in 2002 with Angtoria. After Chris and Sarah wrote and recorded a five-track demo, they landed a deal and released God Has A Plan For Us All on Listenable Records under the name Angtoria and released a music video.
Many years went past, with Sarah continuing her work with Cradle Of Filth and Therion and Chris building his extremely successful recording studio. Despite their strong friendship and the desire to continue writing, life got in the way. However, there were two tracks that remained hidden until now.
Rather than being lost to the recesses of obscurity, these tracks have become the foundation for Torn Between Two Worlds. The songs hold the same style as God Has A Plan For Us All, but fresher and the bond between Sarah and Chris, and the way they write, remains as professional as ever.
The artists now prefer to remain free and independent, releasing music that both follow their passion and delights both long time and new fans.
