Brazil-based post-punk/shoegaze act Dennis e o Cão da Meia-Noite just released a new single and video "Canino Vs Siso". Dennis Sinned (from the bands 1983, Days Are Nights, As Cinzas do Tempo and many others) is a Brazilian artist and he's back with his new solo project called Dennis e o Cão da Meia-Noite (Dennis and the Midnight Dog).
"Canino Vs Siso" is the first single taken from the soon to be released debut album entitled Id, Ego, Superego e Outros Porcarias". The new single brings the well known Dennis guitars that resonate with the 70s and 80s post-punk scene and now add the beautiful distortions of the shoegaze universe. The new single presents an aggressiveness generated by his indignation at the disposable relationships of our time.
Dennis plays with Freud's ideas by stating the tireless fight of the Superego (represented by Dennis himself) with ID and the Ego, marked by the figure of the "Midnight Dog". He himself has already revealed that this solo project came to him in a mystical revelation, where the figure of the "Midnight Dog" was present and needed to emerge from this universe of shadows revealing a visceral and dangerous side that was unconscious until then.
