The USA based symphonic metal band Anaria released its single/video cover version of "Alone" by the 80s icon rockers, Heart. Although "Alone" was popularized by Heart, it was actually a cover of a song written by i-Ten. Nevertheless, taking the measure of what female empowerment means, Anaria brought forward that same element of strength, intelligence, and sex appeal that only lead vocalist Jessica Jackson-Salvucci can do. Powerful vocals that transcend words into swelling lyrical notes of indomitable allurement. The vocal presence in "Alone" is strikingly executed in Anaria's own unique way while embracing each band member's talents throughout in spectacular and notable performance. Anaria through their own artistic branding and video presentation owns this song and it is remarkable.
Anaria began its life in 2011 as a symphonic metal band in the vein of Nightwish under the project name Evince Ethos. This was changed to Anaria in 2014 when Jessica Jackson began working with Dan Spinney on new material. They went on to release a cover of Ed Sheeran's "I See Fire" on YouTube which garnered half a million views and a robust following in the fantasy and gaming community. After many shows, releases, a few lineup changes, and a prolonged hiatus, Sergio Salvucci joined in 2017, resurrecting the project. The trio has been hard at work in the studio, building a sound and style which defies boundaries and takes the listener on a fantastical experience rooted in human emotion. "Alone" is the first release to follow Anaria's latest 15-song studio album, Exile. Another album is already in the works. Watch Anaria's "Alone" video in the player below. Link
