Well known Dutch symphonic metal masters Within Temptation has been - for quite some time - promoting "The Aftermath" – a show in virtual reality, planned for 8 July (Europe) and 9 July (Northern and Southern America). "A show that takes place in different scenes of a post-apocalyptic world, in which we are witness of the aftermath of destruction of mankind. A world in which it is unknown if anyone or anything of the human race survived. It is a search for answers about both its becoming as well as its legacy. The Aftermath is an online show, fueled by bleeding-edge technology that enables us to do a performance that’s out of this world – literally! During this digital show we play a variety of newer and older songs in four different worlds. Only today, a brand new single/visualizer, "Shed My Skin (feat. Annisokay)", was released. Sharon presented the song: "'Shed My Skin’ revolves around dealing with inevitable changes in life. It is about becoming the person we are meant to be, even if that means losing people we love, but have grown apart from. Real growth begins where comfort zones end and that’s exactly what the song is all about: if we don’t change, we don’t grow. If we don’t grow, we aren’t really living".
