Ashes For The Mute yesterday released its debut album Celestial Revelations. The band was formed in 2017 by Jacob St. Amand as a one-man doom metal project when he was living in Athens (Greece). After moving the project to Denver (USA) in 2018, The Pantheist demo was released, marking a shift towards a more blackened sound. Shortly after the release of The Pantheist, the band was joined by Donovan Parran (guitar), David Aspesi (bass), and Spy (drums) allowing the band to perform live for the first time. With the quartet in place, a live version of The Pantheist was recorded and released on cassette. One show was played in Denver - to support this release before the 2020 pandemic made live performances impossible.
It was over the following year that the band composed, recorded and completed its first full-length album Celestial Revelations. With tighter songwriting and more polished production, Celestial Revelations provides an intriguing blend of black and death metal, paying homage to both genres but remaining confined to none. Ashes For The Mute will begin playing live shows again in the following Autumn. Till then, listen to Celestial Revelations, available also below. Link
