DUNCAN EVANS & WILDERNESS HYMNAL - To Release Split Album

Duncan Evans (ex-A Forest Of Stars, WaxWorm, Moonlow) and Wilderness Hymnal are pleased to announce that they will release their split album Until Liars Fear You on the 5th of November via Trepanation Recordings. More information will come soon.

Javier from Wilderness Hymnal commented: "Though our music is quite different in some ways, I've found in Duncan a great friend, collaborator and patient taskmaster! He originally invited me to make an electronic record, but as often happens, some songs fell away and others developed differently than first intended. I like to experiment with production, but here my main goal was to make sure that the songs themselves were solid first, and after that try to get out of the way and let songs be what they wanted to be. Which often had nothing to do with what I had planned."

Duncan also commented: "The seed of the concept for this record first came about when I was working on the synth-based music to a production of Jean-Paul Sartre's 'No Exit'. Inspired by this creative process, I started working on a handful of songs using electronic sounds as the basis. Around that time, Javier invited me to collaborate with him on a song. I liked his approach to melody, lyrics and production, and I found it refreshing to collaborate with him, so I in turn asked Javier if he would want to work on a split release which would also allow us to include our collaborative song, "Three Tempers". I have greatly enjoyed the twists and turns of building this record and the collaboration and friendship with Javier." Link
