-ii- - New Video As A Carnal Spell Conjuring Caravaggio's Spirit

French darkwave/ghost-folk duo -ii- (pronounced as "Two Eyes") has released a new video for the song "My Flesh". The song is taken from their debut full-length Extinction, released earlier this year. After a first music video for the track "Void", "My Flesh" keeps staging the band's will to associate its music with a strong pictorial imagination. The music video summons the "lovers" of René Magritte in a candlelit set-up familiar to the work of Caravaggio envisioned through the lens of David Lynch or Robert Mapplethorpe. The video was directed by Benjamin Racine.

The clip is an ode to the flesh as raw material, artless, imperfect, profoundly human in every way possible. In the shadows, the outlines of a naked model take shape in a variety of poses, somewhat enigmatic, yet sensual. "My Flesh" is an invitation to experience the pleasures of the flesh as an "ars erotica" - a truth of the body, emancipated from guilt. It is a woman's voice, commanding her enjoyment and her pleasure by her own terms. You can read more about -ii- over HERE, and check out the review of Extinction over HERE. Now, get ready for the strong erotic visuals in the video "My Flesh" below. Link
