Rising from the Norwegian fjords and already stars at home but yet to be discovered internationally, Gåte (“Riddle”) have made their name on a fiery combination of Norwegian folk and rock, fronted by outstanding female vocalist Gunnhild Sundli. With their visionary approach, Gåte - alongside the Swedish/Finnish act Hedningarna, might be credited for laying the foundation for the current blooming, extraordinary pagan folk scene, headed by the likes of Wardruna and Heilung.
Gåte’s music has been described as "epic", "delicious", and "stunning". The band will release their new album titled Nord on the 3rd of December via Indie Recordings. Nord is the full-length follow-up to their critically acclaimed EP Til Nord (May 2021) and marks the conclusion of Gåte as an acoustic outfit.
