Electro/dub/industrial band P.H.O.B.O.S. is about to release its fifth album Bleaker Beater on 15 December through its own label Megaton Mass Products. Two of the album's tracks have already been released and are available for listening in the player below.
P.H.O.B.O.S. was formed in 2000 in Paris, France. After four guitar-oriented albums and EPs, string instruments have been left aside this time. Tracks were born out of analogue devices manipulations and were recorded during live sessions. By mixing various elements of extreme electronica, black industrial and dark dub, Bleaker Beater continues P.H.O.B.O.S.' exploration of unconventional territories, framed into blood troubles thematics.
The album has been designed, recorded and mixed by Frederic Sacri (machines/effects/vox) and Mani Ann-Sitar (machines/effects) at Sapel Lomor studio (Paris, France). Mastering has been ensured by Tore Stjerna (Watain, Mayhem, Funeral Mist,...) at Necromorbus Studios (Uppsala, Sweden). Bleaker Beater is going to be released on black and limited edition rotten blood vinyl, double CD (Bleaker Beater and its instrumental version Blxykxr Bxytxr) and digitally. Link
