The Montreal darkwave/dark-electro outfit Sarajevo & Moi released an EP, Icarus Falls, on 10 December via the Canadian post-punk, darkwave, coldwave, shoegaze label Velouria Receordz.
Sarajevo & Moi is the latest musical adventure of Michel Mercier, former drummer of Québec City's mythical Handful Of Snowdrops. Accompanied by Jean Ruest on keyboards and singer Juliette Décembre, Michel's Sarajevo & Moi offers, as post-punk.com mentioned on their music video premiere, "powerful, dark-electro tunes steeped into new wave, and darkwave music that are absolutely riveting and contemporary." The band's first EP, Dark Sky, was well received and found airplay on many college radio stations. Dark Sky spent several weeks on top of CHYZ's anglo charts and ranked fifth best album for that year. Sarajevo & Moi's first video clip, "Venus Flytap" was premiered on Huffington Post.
According to the band, their second opus Icarus Falls offers a journey through all the truths in life we cannot escape: "Our past, shame, failure and death". Sarajevo & Moi has shared stages with acclaimed artists, such as Trans X, Rational Youth, The City Gates, The Foreign Resort, and Xeno & Oaklander. Their music reminds us of Human League, Clan Of Xymox, Boy Harsher and Ultravox. "Shame" awaits you right below. Link
