CPYIST - Presents First Single And Video From Upcoming Debut Album

German steampunk-inspired darkwave band Cpyist has released the first single, "One Way Ticket", taken from their debut album entitled Never Neverland, announced for 13 May via Dr. Music Records. Amidst the lockdown of last year's Covid-19 pandemic, Cpyist came together, fueled by a desire to create something new, excessive creativity, free spirit and love for the hopeless cause, to create Never Neverland, an exceptional darkwave opus full of magic and passion.

Led by mastermind and producer Marquee Steven_XL, the debut album was produced at the band's very own Never Neverland Studio and then mastered at Skyline Tonfabrik by the internationally renowned Kai Blankenberg, who also refined the sound of albums by such diverse artists as Paradise Lost, Beatsteaks, Oomph or Lady Gaga. Never Neverland demonstrates how to produce a soundscape out of the numerous various sounds and styles of pop, rock, metal, electro or ambient, in which one can literally delve. The dark steampunk with its masks, Venetian-inspired costumes, hats and accessories thereby reflects the attitude towards life of the German band Cpyist and perfectly frames the album. With today's single release of "One Way Ticket" which depicts life with all its possible twists and turns, the electro steampunks start their musical adventure and present for the first time their vision audiovisually in the music video produced by Reiner Ellwanger (Rese Group) and Stephan Kerber (Beatvideo).
