The USA based symphonic metal project Nomadic Narwhal has joined Sliptrick Records. Nomadic Narwhal's new single, "Monolith", will therefore be released via Sliptrick Records - on 22 April.
For more than just ocean lovers, Nomadic Narwhal takes a new path in sonic storytelling. With a cocktail of modern metal, underwater sound design, and cinematic drama; Nomadic Narwhal takes you on a journey from the beaches to parts unknown. While keeping plenty of room open to interpretation, it is clear that this is not a guided tour. This is an oceanic odyssey shared between artist and listener.
"Being in the conservation field was eye opening to me by the scale of really how much is out there. However, when trying to raise awareness about any topic ocean related, people initially tune out. They have been blasted so much by the amount of problems out there that it's the first thing they think about and become immediately defeated. So how do we help that? Someone has to create a positive space. Somewhere you can tune out the problems, recharge, and be reminded of how amazing and awe inspiring the ocean is. That's what Nomadic is for." Jesse Beisner, the founding member, goes on to explain how he hopes this will help the conservation community by giving them a cheering section for the work that they do. An audible representation of why the work is so important. A place where all can take a breath and celebrate the ocean. "Let's make waves!" In case you've missed Nomadic Narwhal's debut single, "Arrival", here it is. Link
