Switzerland's melodic dark rock/metal act Black Reuss has inked a record deal with Sliptrick Records. Black Reuss is the flow of life of a man who describes the change and chapter he experienced, through music. Life is like a river, always moving, mostly downward. The name originates from the river Reuss, a Swiss river that rises in the Gotthard massif in the middle of Switzerland, where Black Reuss lived during the writing of the album Metamorphosis.
Stylistically, Black Reuss is at home in doomy heavy metal with a touch of melancholy and a certain heaviness, the heaviness that has accompanied Black Reuss in some chapters of his life. And as in the river, which carries more and more water, the experiences, and insights that Black Reuss collects on his way are more and more, until one day the light goes out and disappears in the eternal sea. Black Reuss will be four chapters, Metamorphosis, Journey, Arrival and Death, taking the audience on this trip on the raven waters of the River of life. Metamorphosis was released in June 2021, and Journey came out this spring, both as a self-release.
