THE LAUTREAMONTS - Presents Gothic Version Of The Residents' Classic Song

Brazilian post-punk duo The Lautreamonts released a brand new single called "Hello Skinny", a reinterpretation of the classic tune by The Residents. Defining the post-punk duo The Lautreamonts is no easy task, but two aspects stand out. The experimentation with different musical styles and a true DIY approach.

From the beginning, The Lautreamonts have always recorded and mixed music by themselves, in their own studio. The visual part is no different: cover design, videos and the impressive visual effects of the shows have always been fully produced by the band. Musically, the band's sound is beyond the obvious. They make the sound unique by mixing post-punk with influences of eastern music, electronica, krautrock and many others.

Now, the duo unites musical experimentation with DIY ethics in their new single "Hello Skinny". Cover of a classic by The Residents, one of the strangest and most avant-garde bands in history. The music, originally dissonant and experimental, takes on a gothic air, with the rhythm section paying homage to a certain classic for fans of the style, who will surely recognize it. Link
