German mystical and ethereal dark pop project Ellereve just released a mesmerizing new video "Photographs". After the release of her debut EP Heart Murmurs (2020) and several single releases over the last two years, Ellereve's sound became stronger and more powerful, an aspect showcased on stages like Rockhouse Salzburg, KAPU Linz, Merlin Stuttgart, the sound of Munich now festival and others - in its combination of electronic music elements blended with organic composition work.
Distorted, heavy, atmospheric and eerie are the terms describing the soundscapes of Ellereve's new single "Photographs". Ellereve comments: "My songs are still mostly created late at night, in my living room, when a melody on guitar or synth inspires me to develop something. But before hitting the studio, I finalize the songs in the rehearsal room with the live band."
The deep bass sound and dynamic drumming suit Ellevere's sounds very well and are reminiscent of dark folk artists like Emma Ruth Rundle, Darkher and Chelsea Wolfe.
