Finnish folk/horror/doom act These Shadows Of Mine, the solo project of the Finnish songwriter-producer Amanda Aalto, just released its debut album called Rebirth. The album consists of seven songs that have been written, recorded and produced by Amanda Aalto between August and September 2022.
The music of These Shadows Of Mine combines elements from darker folk music and doom rock that create a variant entirety for the seven-song length debut album called Rebirth. The lyrics of the songs talk about spiritual awakening - like the name of the album already hints towards - and paganism combined with some subtle horror themes.
In the fifth song of the album called "Know Thy Light" can be heard Canadian folk musician Shawn Hache (Tithe) who plays the acoustic guitar parts and accompanies in the backing vocals of the song. So far the album is only released through Bandcamp as "name your price" digital download and you have to get it. The cover art of the album is also designed by Amanda Aalto.
