NON-BIO - To Release New Album On Halloween

The UK-based industrial rhythmic noise project Non-Bio is releasing a new album, Monkey Feather, on 31 October, exactly a year after its previous album, You Are Happy, was released.

Non-Bio is an industrial rhythmic noise project from South London, UK. The project was founded in 2009 and is primarily the work of Howard Gardner (also currently involved with Pillars Of Golden Misery and Decommissioned Forests), although other musicians have also participated over the years.

Non-Bio's main influences are Skinny Puppy, Imminent Starvation, Test Dept and Throbbing Gristle. While some elements of first or second-generation industrial acts are incorporated into the music, the band generally aims to fans of harsher-sounding electropunk, industrial or contemporary rhythmic noise acts. There is a crushing quality to the musical landscape, which tends to be dominated by drones, samples, and distorted vocals and percussion. While some of Non-Bio's more recent albums have focused somewhat on the current political climate (particularly in the United Kingdom) and a slide back towards the conditions of the 1980s, the new album takes a step away from this, and portrays a more introspective view, alternating between despair and flights of escapist fantasy.

Foretaste the Monkey Feather album with its, so far, only revealed track, "Island In A Lake Of Spinal Fluid". Link
