Pittsburgh (USA) based symphonic/gothic artist DiGregorio has released a brand new lyric video for the track "Not Myself". "Not Myself" is the first in a series of ten lyric videos spanning both chapters of House Of Gregory. The third song from the album House Of Gregory, Chapter 1, released in October 2020, "Not Myself" details the experience of someone who struggles to break free from the clutches of a powerful demonic possession.
DiGregorio was born in 2015 when guitarist and songwriter, Suzanne DeCree, decided she was done holding back on her music. For the next year, she focused on writing a song a week and by 2016, she had over 60 songs to choose from. Crafting a storyline befitting the dense, melodramatic and atmospheric music she wrote led to the House Of Gregory - a 19-song debut album. Culling some of the best session players from Pittsburgh, she worked continually for the next seven years to bring this haunted house to life.
Suzanne comments: "Everywhere you look, shadows move just outside of your peripheral vision. You hear the constant whispering of voices from the shadows, but you can't quite make out the words, or if there are even words being whispered. The only thing you can make out clearly is laughter - an evil cackle that cuts to your soul and evokes a visceral reaction. Your every movement is controlled by some force outside of your control. Your words are not your own. Your very will has been taken over. Somewhere deep in the recesses of your mind, a dim light shines - a glimmer of hope in the darkness. You forcibly retake control - inch by inch, step by step. The light grows brighter and brighter as you climb the stone steps in front of you."
