DISILLUSION - Shares "Driftwood" Video

German avant-garde/progressive/dark metal outfit Disillusion has only recently released a new album, Ayam, via Prophecy Productions.

The band has now shared a beautifully melancholic video for the "Driftwood" track. The track belongs to the new album Ayam, which already boasts excellent reviews.

Disillusion's singer and guitarist Andy Schmidt comments: "Our new album Ayam is out now and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the amazing responses and comments about the songs! We are riding a wave. Today we share this wonderful music video for 'Driftwood' with you. This song was written very early in the recording process and is therefore inseparably connected to the whole album. We are most grateful for the great work of the video creators Bastien Bodenstein and Arthur Baum. They have perfectly captured the essence of the song and transformed its layers into pictures. Please enjoy!"

He also reveals the creative process of the clip: "In pre-production, a virtual environment was created for each musician using the Unreal 5 engine. All environments were inspired by the harsh climate and bleak landscapes of a northern European island. Before filming, each camera position was determined. While recording the musicians were visible through a live-pre-view in real-time and placed into the landscapes via the green screen method. This step was necessary in order to determine the distances and proportions. During post-production details were added to the environments and the musicians inserted into the Unreal engine".
