FREDLÖS - Self-Titled Debut Album Out Now

Yesterday, Swedish dark/folk metal band Fredlös released its self-titled debut album via Threeman Recordings, Fredlös Produktion and Sound Pollution. To accompany the album's release, the band offered another video - for the album's focus track, "Fredlös", which awaits you in the player below.

The album is filled with epic tales of strife and turmoil; with a deep sense of historical roots and a love of dark sounds. Blending heavy guitars with traditional instruments and a need to relate history true to the facts. The result is a brooding yet effortlessly melodic sound where the listener can survive and thrive in the dark through nine dark, heavy, intense songs.

Fredlös is a new addition to the Swedish Norrtelje Sound (northern Stockholm region) fronted by Wormwood and Månegarm. Erik Grawsiö (Månegarm) is a featured guest vocalist on two tracks, and Alex Hellid (Entombed) could not help but outright join the cause!

Alex comments: "This is a game changer. Fredlös is a tour de force that defies any one description, weaving metal, rock, folk, and traditional music themes into a rich and varied tapestry. I could not resist".

Tomas comments: "We've poured our souls into this album. Lyrically it's a journey through the late Middle Ages, recounting the historical events from the perspective of the common people. Welcome to the world of Fredlös!"

Robert comments: "It is a truly great feeling now that our album is released in its entirety. Strap on your headphones, turn out the light, and let yourself be swallowed by the dark, swirling, dynamic, beauty that introduces the first chapter of Fredlös."

Now welcome to listen to Fredlös. Link
