The atmospheric doom metal collective The Answer Lies In The Black Void, featuring members of Thy Catafalque and Celestial Season, will be returning with their second album this spring. Inspired by Carl Jung's shadow work, this new effort is entitled Shadow Work and was produced by Jason Köhnen, mixed and mastered by Daniel Azar Arendarski and will be available via Burning World Records.
The Answer Lies In The Black Void is a collaboration between Martina Horváth and Jason Köhnen. Horváth (also the singer for the avant-garde metal project Thy Catafalque) and Köhnen (Celestial Season, The Lovecraft Sextet, Bong-Ra, ex-The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble), the duo also work together in the transcendental music project Mansur.
Horváth and Köhnen joined forces through their passion for all things doom, presenting their personal take on the doom genre in all its beautiful darkness and from all possible angles. Bringing their own mix of atmospheric, gothic-laden doom metal.
Just recently the duo revealed a new track titled "To Kill The Father", which features Botond Fogl on solo guitar, and you can watch the video below. The previously released track "In Obsidian Clouds" can be checked out over HERE. Link
