Italian suicide pop outfit Spiritual Front has unveiled the final single, "There Is A Light That Never Goes Out", from its forthcoming The Smiths tribute album The Queen Is Not Dead, scheduled for release on 21 July via Prophecy Productions.
Spiritual Front's Simone Salvatori comments: "The quintessential The Smiths track 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out' asks the questions what could happen when you feel that you don't belong to anywhere and anyone. The track perfectly combines Marr's unmistakable psyche jangling guitars with the amazing lyricism of Morrissey. It remains as an anthem for those who are desperate and doomed. 'There Is A Light That Never Goes Out' contains all the essentials of The Smiths' philosophy: solitude, sweetness, pain, and melancholy - all wrapped up in a few verses that are dramatically intense and pitch black. If there actually is a light that remains shining, it's in this song. The will to live forever, somewhere, in a place better than the one that we live in, still means a lot. There is a burning desire to escape a boring life and to find joy in living, even if it means facing death".
