French one-man-band Ars Moriendi, practising for more than 20 years an atmospheric and progressive black metal completed with multiple influences (metal or non-metal), has released a new full-length, Lorsque les coeur s'assèchent (When the hearts dry up), via Archaic Sound.
After six self-produced albums, he signed in 2008 with the Ukrainian label Griffin Music and then in 2011 with Archaic Sound. Since then, he has released seven albums and a split with his side-project Notre Amertume.
The new album, Lorsque les coeur s'assèchent, is in line with its predecessor musically with - however - an obvious progression concerning the sound and the effectiveness of the compositions. Textually, the album questions us about the ability of humans to go from the purest innocence to absolute perversity and the moment when things change, when hearts dry up...
