NOITILA - A New Invocation Of Darkness And Ancient Finnish Folk Magic

In the remote forests of north-eastern Finland, a primal force has been unleashed, Noitila! The time has come for a first glimpse into the harrowing soundscape of Noitila. Langennut, the project's debut album, will be released on the 20th of October via Nordvis Produktion. Noitila has also released the first single, "Kylvemme sateessa enkelten veren", and you can hear it below.

The band commented: "Kylvemme sateessa enkelten veren" is a cosmic cry - a declaration of war against the light. In Noitila, worlds intersect; the heavens merge with the earth, and the earth with the underworld. One step across the threshold and Noitila becomes a lightning rod - both the band and the location, which for us are one and the same. In symbiosis, we channel the power therein into a seed, which grows into a spearhead aimed at the heart of sanctity. With it, we pierce the heavens and bathe in the rain of angels' blood. The lyrics were penned in mere minutes during the hour of the wolf. A revelation from the shadows, a gift from below. Complete and unedited, a distillation of a Noitila night."

Conceived and recorded in a family cabin, employing minimalist equipment and instruments, Langennut captures an authenticity that is as powerful as it is pure. The band used an old leather chair as a bass drum, recorded acoustic guitars in the open forest, and wrote lyrics through psychography. No metronome, three microphones, and a passion for the ancient sounds of Ildjarn, Ulver, Isengard, Bathory, Satyricon, Tulus, and Beherit - this is black metal distilled to its essence. Primitive, soulful, and unfiltered. Noitila's music is an invocation of darkness, devil worship, death adulation, and ancient Finnish folk magic. Link
