Atmospheric dark metal outfit Upon Shadows unveiled the first single/opening track, "Written In Blood", from its forthcoming album, Poetica, set for release on 18 October (the releases of Upon Shadows are always on the same date, which is Tamara Picardo's birthday ) through Ground Media Group. Poetica will be available in digital and physical formats, including a digipack version with a 20-page booklet (pre-orders have already started).

"Written in Blood" delves into the ancient practice of passing down mystical knowledge through generations, specifically among the women of a family. This esoteric legacy, akin to that of modern witches, sets the tone for the immersive experience Poetica promises to deliver.
