Germany-based new melodic doom/post-black metal formation Sarlic Bliss has unleashed the first single/video, "Departed Grace", from its upcoming debut album, Brægn Hæft, slated for release on 2 November via MDD Records.
"Departed Grace" is almost exemplary for the band's musical versatility and contains, besides quiet, melancholic and doomy sounds, a look at the harsh and aggressive side of the quintet. By the way, with a stately 7:38 min. "Departed Grace" is not even the longest track of the album, but stands out a bit due to the breathtaking guest appearance of singer Gogo Melone. The video was realized by Justin Morina and creatively blends the boundaries between story and lyric video. Check it out via the player below.
Sarlic Bliss was founded in October 2021. All members bring many years of band experience in the semi-professional field. The new outfit characterizes its sound as dark, aggressive, melancholic, gloomy, brute and poignant. Link
