Finland's Sirakh has embarked on a new route, embracing the atmospheric vibes of 80s post-punk and goth rock. The ever-evolving soundscape of music often witnesses bands undergoing transformative journeys. Leaving behind their familiar metal territory, this change manifests in their latest single, "Let It Go".
Explaining the shift, the band says: "To put it simply, a desire to try something new and 'fresh'. Maybe delving in a 40 year old genre with a more modern sound will be just what the world needs. One can never know until they try."
Fans curious about the band's future trajectory are in for an eclectic mix. The band says: "There will be a mixpot of our old Goth Metal sound, some new territories yet to be conquered such as "Let It Go" and my personal favourite: Doom Metal influences every once in a while. It's simultaneously our lightest and heaviest record to date."
While "Let It Go" is a testament to Sirakh's ability to adapt and experiment, their commitment to the band's original identity is evident. The promise of the upcoming album indicates an embrace of diversity, fusing the new with the cherished old.
With band members Tuovila on vocals, Nikki on guitars, and Dr. Bonefield on drums, Sirakh remains a force to be reckoned with. As the sounds of "Let It Go" echo through the speakers, it's clear that the band is on a voyage, but with a keen awareness of where they've come from. And as listeners, we're all invited to join in on this riveting sonic expedition. Link
