DREAMWHEEL - Debut EP Out Tomorrow

The post-punk/shoegaze/dream pop duo Dreamwheel will release tomorrow (Friday, 10 November) via Nefarious Industries the debut EP entitled Redeemer. A floating tapestry of dripping arpeggios, soaring choruses, and driving rhythms come together in Dreamwheel, a new rock duo composed of longtime musical acquaintances, eclectic solo artist Julia Gaeta and Evan Linger (Skeletonwitch, Cultist). During the chaotic introspection of the pandemic, the pair bonded over their American roots and mutual love of big ‘80s choruses, murky shoegaze, and indie rock.

Although both Linger and Gaeta cut their teeth in the metal and punk scenes, Dreamwheel showcases their lighter touch - but one that’s no less potent. The duo has so far released two demo tracks on cassette, “Wild Days” and “Chain Of Fear,” which gathered attention from fans of bands like DIIV, The Chameleons, and Siouxsie And The Banshees.

Julia Gaeta states: "What started as a back-and-forth across many miles during the pandemic lockdowns has evolved into this moment, and we're excited to share it as we gear up for 2024 and play our first live shows. Redeemer is about being your own saviour when things get rough. It's about casting aside the ideological temptations we're fed, and breaking through the chains. We wanted to put a new sound to this tale as old as time. But more importantly, we're two friends making the music we want to make, and that's what makes this EP special to us. Hope you enjoy the listen." Link
