The legendary UK-based art-post-punk band And Also The Trees, who will release their album 16th studio album entitled Mother-of-pearl Moon on the 23rd of February 2024, have released a brand new music video for the song "Valdrada". The track is about an imaginary city described by Marco Polo to Kublai Kahn in the novel 'Invisible Cities' by Italo Calvino, telling us what they saw.
The music on Mother-of-pearl Moon is often filmic and reminiscent of various genres from the '50s to the '70s, perhaps most apparent in "This Path Through The Meadow" video, which explores the intertwining of nature in its human, animal and botanic form. Elsewhere, And Also The Trees visit "Valdrada" imaginary city, while the album title track transports the listener oceans away to the Far East...to its exotic gardens, still waters and the 'Mother-of-pearl Moon'.
