Legendary actor, musician and author Sir Christopher Lee has died on 7th June, at the age of 93. His career spanned for nearly 70 years and he rose to fame initially playing villains, becoming best known for portraying Count Dracula in a sequence of Hammer Horror films. His other noted roles were in a James Bond film The Man With The Golden Gun, The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit trilogies and in Star Wars prequel trilogy films. Sir Christopher Lee was also knighted for services to drama and charity in 2009 and also obtained a musical career: apart from his role in a musical The Return Of Captain Invincible and singing in a closing credit track for the film Funny Man, he also collaborated with symphonic power metal band Rhapsody Of Fire as a narrator in four of their albums, with heavy metallers Manowar and also released his own metal album Charlemagne: By The Sword And Cross and an album of heavy metal covers A Heavy Metal Christmas. Our condolences go to his family and friends. Link
