British pioneers of dark industrial electronics Attrition will release on 4th August a new album entitled Millions Of The Mouthless Dead. The album is a conceptual one inspired by the story of private William Bowes (a grandfather of Martin Bowes - Attrition main member) of the West Yorks Regiment, British Expeditionary Force, who was hit by a German shell in June 1917 while out working on trench defences. He suffered a severe stomach wound. Rescued by stretcher-bearers, his life was saved by Canadian army medics in a front line field hospital. He was repatriated to England where he stayed and recuperated for the remainder of the Great War. Millions Of The Mouthless Dead is dedicated to both him and the millions on all sides that experienced the living hell that was the Europe of 1914-18. All music was done by Martin Bowes and Anni Hogan. Album was mixed and mastered by bands mastermind Martin Bowes at The Cage Studios, Coventry, England, 2014 - 2015, and will be releaed by Ultra Mail Productions. As a special guest the release will feature Wolfgang Flur (ex-Kraftwerk). The album is already available for pre-orders at this location. Link
