German post/atmospheric black metal one-man project Arkuum will sel-release on 21st August its debut album entitled Trostlos. Arkuum was founded in 2013 by David "Arkas" Theobald. The search for a suitable vocalist however occurred a bit difficult. But after a lot of tries with many different singers the right one finally was found - someone who suites the project humanly and also vocally very well. Denny, vocalist of the band Zeugen der Leere, provides to the album Trostlos the final touch with his screams, concise singing and a few clean passages. After the recording process of the vocals passed off very fluently the atmosphere for a future collaboration for the next Arkuum albums was set. Using three different guitars Arkuum creates a deep atmosphere and a unique sound pattern. The distinctive sound of a massive guitar riff causes a depressing sentiment and tries to fascinate the hearer. The style unites a great diversity of influences, such like blackgaze, black metal, post metal and ambient and knows no frontiers. The emotional deepness of the instrumental accompaniment provides a catchy way of expression, supported by understandable screams and a few clean passages.
