1919 - Updates From The Band, Former Drummer Returns

The cult British post-punk/goth band 1919, who recently reformed, heve some big news. The band is ecstatis to announce the return of their legendary drummer Mick Reed. As well as his trademark tribal sound, Mick also brings his long-time collaborator Karl Donner in on bass. The band commented: "That’s right, we’re a 4-piece again, and Rio has been let off his lead to deliver vocals the old fashioned way."
In other news, the band decided to terminate their agreement with Crysella Records for the planned releases, and the material that Mark and Rio wrote for the new album will be released as a side-project under the name “Circle Of The Absurd”. So the release of EP titled Revenge, which was planned for release on 21st September is cancelled. 1919 added: "We had some fantastic feedback for the new material at our live shows this year, particularly in London, but it’s only right that we go back to the drawing board with the new line-up. The exception to this will be “Revenge”, our last single, which we plan to re-record with Mick and Karl."
The band is also eager to get back on the stage as soon as possible, "our gigs in the near future will be comprised of classic 1919 songs which Mick and Karl have helped bring back to life in a massive way", the band adds, and continues, "there will be many more things to announce in the coming weeks and months, but over the past fortnight we’ve been taking a small step back in order to take a gigantic leap forward".
