Finnish pagan metal masters Moonsorrow released a couple of days ago a new track named "Suden Tunti" and a new video for it. The track is taken from bands upcoming highly anticipated album titled Jumalten Aika, which will be released on 1st April via Century Media Records.
Moonsorrow's vocalist Ville Sorvali commented on the song and video: "This is the shortest song we've done in more than ten years! “It has all the elements that make it a Moonsorrow track but it's still something we hadn't done before. This is the dark side of folk metal - the epic battle of Fenris and Odin from a new perspective."
Guitarist Mitja Harvilahti added: “This is the day we never thought would come. We never thought we would release an official Moonsorrow music video. Writing music without compromises is hard enough. Making a video that catches the same spirit without compromises and awkward moments that takes away the credibility is even harder! We had a thought for some time that only an animated video with enough artistic flavor would work. Since "Suden Tunti" is somewhat based on actual myths it was possible to create the world where the script takes place!”
In other news, Moonsorrow will embark on an extensive European tour tgether with their country mates Korpiklaani, starting on 8th April on Durbuy Rock Festival in Belgium. More tour details and festival appearances could be found at this location. Now, enjoy in the video for "Suden Tunti" in the player below. Link
