Noctilucant has to say about the album: "... Oblivion To You All is the next chapter in the Noctilucant story, which was previously started on the debut album, Back to the Mud. Oblivion To You All now sees the world sparsely populated, this is after the apocalypse, when many humans have fallen, and those that remain standing are left to deal with a world that has changed into something else. The story isn’t necessarily linear, but rather individual accounts of ruin, loss and despair when the end is in fact here. Musically, Oblivion To You All takes shape as a cinematic dark ambient release with various underlying industrial and experimental characteristics throughout.
