XAON - Debut EP Out In October, Shares Lyric Video, On Tour With Sirenia In November

Swiss dark metallers Xaon will release their debut EP entitled Face Of Balaam on 16th October. The band offers a varied sound with brilliant melodies combined with the aggression of death metal, yet that description doesn't quite do justice to the range of styles influencing the sound of Xaon. Add to all that also influences from Anathema, Type O Negative, My Dying Bride, Soilwork, Demonical, Ulver and you'll get the picture.
Face Of Balaam was produced and arranged by band members Vinc and Flo, recorded between June and August 2015, mixed and mastered by Julian at Parallel Focus Studios. Vocals were engineered by Rob Carson at Carsonian Sound Solutions. All vocals, except for "Discrowned" were performed by Franco-American singer Rob Carson. Samples on "How We become Ephemeral Birds" and "Discrowned" by J.-P. Lana. The album artwork was created by Californian artist and painter Erik Burton Kirchner. In the player below you can give a listen to the track "How We Become Ephemeral Birds" in a lyric video form.
In other news, Xaon will be touring across Europe with Sirenia, Tyr, Unleash The Archers and Relicseed this November. More informations about the band and tour dates can be found on the following link. Link
