Seattle (USA) based post-punk revivalist Brine will release their debut album entitled Kill The Ill on 2nd December via Inverted Kite Records. The band was formed in 2014 by members who spent many years playing together in various bands and projects, members Daniel Keating (vocals/bass), Chris Haller (guitar), Joe Benson (drums) and Travis Bingaman (guitar) decided to put together a new band with a distinct sound, immediately after the dissolution of their previous projects.
With a desire to write guitar-driven, catchy alternative rock, Brine put together its first demo in the summer of 2015 and is now releasing its debut album. Brine is in line with the 90s revival trend we're seeing in modern alt rock (Citizen, Local Natives, Balance & Composure) with the exception that all members have been in various bands together for the last 3 decades - their music is the result of being present during the most influential times in modern rock, with genuine influences from the likes of Morrissey and The Cure.
Kill The Ill is riddled with heavy nuances, as the album explores deeply personal themes around mental illness and its effects. Album was recorded and mixed by Adam McCollum at Birdhouse Studio and Gravelvoice Studios in Seattle. Mastering was done by Resonant Mastering.
