German melancholic/folk/black metallers Ferndal presented the cover artwork of their self-titled debut album. The artwork was created by the Spanish artist Norax, also known from the black metal band Lux Divina. Norax also made Ferndal's band logo, which will though not appear on the album front cover. The CD Cover shows solitarily the impressive painting of a meagre landscape, in which a single human – apparent as a shadow – stands before a sun in the shape of an eye. The motive reflects issues of the lyrics allegorizing the conception of the album. The concept will be pursued on the digisleeve's backside, designed by the same artist. The album, Ferndal, will be released on 21st April on CD by Einheit Produktionen and on 16th May on vinyl in cooperation with Black Megalith. The picture of cover artwork is placed below. Link
