Italian duo united under the name Shadoworld just released the self-titled collection of old and new songs by Roberto Del Vecchio and Old Boy. The music is neofolk with a touch of western style and apocalyptic soundtrack like tunes. In some parts it reminds to Death In June, Johnny Cash, Ennio Morricone, Nick Cave, Nirvana and Steve Wynn.
Roberto Del Vecchio is an Italian composer since 1994. He founded projects such as Gothica (two albums released by Cold Meat Industry), The Last Hour (Other Voices Records/Seventh Crow Records) and Les Jumeaux Discordants (Athanor Records). Old Boy is the artistic alter ego of Claudio Carluccio, an Italian polinstrumentist. He made many recordings and featuring with musicians of every sort. He started playing grunge music, then he found out blues and folk and finally into experimental projects.
