NEIGE ET NOIRCEUR - New Album Out In June, First Track Available For Streaming

Canadian black metal act Neige Et Noirceur will release a new album entitled Verglapolis on 1st June via Dusktone. With Verglapolis Neige Et Noirceur will take you into the coldest and most desolate part of your essence. Every track is a continuous flow between the most oppressive and cold black metal and melodies that seem to come from unknown and repetitive realities. Slow-motion rhythms and haunting vocal melodies seemed to be emanated from some bleak cavernous subterranean chambers and create unique hypnotic atmospheres. Waves of disorienting sampling come and go, dotted with dragging beats and the harrowing integration of a choir's howl. This is pure despair just like the winter that cyclically holds us in.
Within ice and darkness, a city rises. Verglapolis, Neige Et Noirceur’s latest opus is a strong alloy of frequencies where heavy guitars, keyboards and hypnotizing drones collide with drums, like frost on huge metallic towers. Inspired by the tragic ice storm of 1998 in Québec, this album demonstrates once more Neige Et Noirceur’s skills and versatility. Verglapolis is a unique collection of metal, drone and ambient tracks, the supreme reign of the freezing cold and shadows. In the player below you can give a listen to the first revealed track - "Pluie verglacante et brouillard de glace". Pre-orders are available at this location. Link
