Aube Grise, the French one-girl black/ambient project run by photographer and graphic designer Anna M., seems to be very creative lately. After the EP Hanterieur which was released in March this year, a new EP entitled L'Encre et la terre, is waiting to be released on 15th June via Distant Voices. The EP consists of one track with running time of almost 27 minutes.
With L'Encre et la terre, Anna M. is going further into experimentations. Cold black metal is mixed with deep ambient soundscapes and acoustic parts to create a unique form of beauty. Field recordings have taken more place than ever, her piano work has never sounded so intense and raw; a haunted minimalism builds a path for radical and tortured screams.
