Austrian ambient rockers Our Ceasing Voice just released the single "Gone". This soothing and melancholic song is the first one taken from their upcoming album entitled Free Like Tonight, which will be released on 25th August. Our Ceasing Voice have always thrived on change.
The new album Free Like Tonight may be the Austrian ambient rock band's boldest one yet. It was created in times of uncertainty, but it shows a determination previously cached by the band. The music is catchier, more structured, and more concise. At the same time, Our Ceasing Voice retain the melancholic vibe that has been a crucial part of their sound up to this point – a vibe that may always be with them.
Lyrically, the alleged end also left its mark on the band. On Free Like Tonight, Our Ceasing Voice deal with the end of youth, of relationships and of friendships. But like the bandmates themselves, the protagonists of their songs know this all too well: some things are too precious to let go. At the heart of their new sound are vocals as distinctive as the music itself: dark and poetic, dramatic and brave. It's a soundtrack for late hours of long summer nights.
