Four years after the release of its debut self-titled EP effort and with the aim to celebrate the summer solstice, the French impressionist one-man-band Salaman Isku just released its first full-length album called Le Voyage Nocturne, evolving somewhere between progressive atmospheres/textures, psychedelic vibes and black/post-metal constructions or vocals. Le Voyage Nocturne is now available for streaming in its entirety and you can hear it in the player below.
Salaman Isku which means "lightning strike" is an impressionist music project created by Adz in 2013 to develop his deep feeling of connection with the nature and the invisible world through the music. Symbolically, it refers to the lightning as a short but intense length of life: we are just a flash in the Time et we no longer exist. It is a project about life and death.
The first song started to be composed with a kantele and under a quiet summer storm. This track became the introduction of a four-song EP Salaman Isku released by Chabane’s Records in October 2013. It celebrates the development of a thunderstorm. One year later, it was the time to create the first album. This project began with a strange love feeling, a total love for the universe, during summer 2014. Adz connected it to a psychedelic nocturnal journey, which happened in summer 2008, and he composed Le Voyage Nocturne. The album was released at the date of the summer solstice 2017. The album is available for orders at this location. Link
