Miami (USA) based post-punk/darkwave/goth band Astari Nite just made available for streaming another song from their upcoming EP Dreams Of Majesty, which will be released in late summer through Cleopatra Records (USA) and Danse Macabre Records (Europe). The newly revealed song is named "The Girl Who Tried" and you can hear it in the player below, and if you haven't done it yet, then check out the previously released video clip for the song "Lovesick" over HERE.
"The Girl Who Tried" is an instant flashback in time, to the late 80s, early 90s dark and goth clubs of London and New York. The music is clearly influenced by the new wave dance movement while Mychael Ghosts' vocals reminds one to David Bowie and Peter Murphy with the classic Astari Nite touch.
Vocalist Mychael Ghost commented: ""The Girl Who Tried" is a song about regret and closure. It finalizes the story that we began in 2015 when we released "The Boy Who Tried". When I close my eyes I picture someone praying while saying these words, however I have no clue if these prayers will ever be answered and by whom to say the least." Link
