Istanbul (Turkey) based black/dark ambient act Sumatran Black released a promotional video for the brand new track "Incremental Dosage Increase". The track is taken from Sumatran Black's upcoming album entitled Fathomz, which will be released in September. Fathomz is a follow up to in 2016 released In The Dread.
On the new album Sumatran Black is slightly moving away from the ambient black metal style and focuses on a deeper and more abstract sound for Fathomz. Inspired by his daily commute across the Bosporus and the strange political climate in Turkey at the time of recording, Fathomz takes the listener on a dark ambient voyage into the depths of their our own dreadful subconscious. Sumatran Black is originally from the UK but currently operating out of Istanbul, Turkey. His music is an inky concoction of minimalist dark atmospheric blackness and lo-fi melancholy nostalgia, he likes to call it “necro chill”.
