Austin (USA) based occultists Ancient VVisdom will release a new album titled 33 on 13th October via Argonauta Records. Ancient VVisdom was founded in Austin, TX in late 2009 with the order consisting of Nathan Opposition, writer and vocalist, Justin "Ribs" Mason on acoustic guitar and Nathan's brother, Michael on electric guitar. In 2010, they recorded and released a split 12" EP with Charles Manson (yes, that Charles Manson) entitled Inner Earth Inferno (Withdrawal Records), which garnished praise form critics and cultists alike. Not unlike early death rock and neo-folklore sound, Ancient VVisdom incorporates electric guitar effect, synth sounds, vocal harmonies and abstract percussion to create a deeper, ethereal quality to their minimalist arrangements. Nathan's powerfully honest voice is complimented by lyrics ranging from mysteries of the occult, paganism, satanic philosophy and forbidden knowledge. 33 is their highly anticipated new album, following the previous paths, A Godlike Inferno (2011), Deathlike (2013) and Sacrificial (2014).
The bands mastermind Nathan comments: "33 is a master number. It is also the age Christ was crucified. 33 is the age of the peak of existence. 33 is the answer. I've been fortunate enough to do the devils work and continue to spread the message to the masses. This album is very important to us. It has symbolic meaning and melody that serves the words purposefully. My brother Michael and I are grateful and are pleased to give you 33. This is our favorite offering to date and we hope you all enjoy it.”
