International experimental act Feeding Fingers will release their sixth studio album entitled Do Owe Harm on 9th January 2018 via Tephramedia Records. Do Owe Harm is an analog electronic/acoustic hybrid album - a rock, pop and jazz-infused study of microtonal/xenharmonic/polytonal music. All music and vocals on this album were composed, performed and engineered by Justin Curfman in Italy from 2015 - 2017. Special recognition is due to Jacky Ligon at Xen-Arts for creating the micro-tunable synthesizers necessary for the composition and performance of these pieces of music. Additional recognition is due to Ron Sword at Metatonal Music for constructing the microtonal guitar used on this album. Additiona personnel includes Marica Filomena Coppola (violin) on "A Happy Lust for Alphabets" and Philipp Gerschlauer (saxophone) on "Hate Yourself Kind". Album was produced by Dana Culling and James "Coyote J." Battan.
Certainly difficult to classify, Feeding Fingers merge atmospheric indie rock, avant-garde, electro, jazz, dark-wave, world music and more into something all its own. The group's restless process of reinvention has spanned six studio albums and three intercontinental tours, including shows with acts such as IAMX, David J. (Bauhaus, Love & Rockets), Nitzer Ebb, Steve Mackay (Iggy Pop & the Stooges, Violent Femmes) and others, including two live appearances on NPR (National Public Radio).
Formed in 2006 in the United States by composer Justin Curfman, Feeding Fingers began as an experimental post-punk trio and has since evolved into an inter-disciplinary and international music project with intermittent members and contributors from Germany, Austria, Italy, Serbia, Japan, China and elsewhere.
