Brazilian black metallers Creptum have released a cover version of Depeche Mode's classic "Black Celebration", which is one of two tracks on the band's recently released EP Reborn In Flames, to follow their 2016 album Of Lies, Curses And Blood, unleashed on Mutilation Records. The band comments: "We chose to cover this Depeche Mode song because the lyrics are very consistent with our vision plus the music itself is great.”
Once again Creptum presents a complex work, loaded with symbolism and mystery on their new release Reborn In Flames. Vocalist Tanatos (also responsible for the cover art) comments: “The cover of Reborn In Flames is directly linked to the concept of "Reborn In Darkness" lyrics, which addresses the cycle of ascension and fall of the star Sirius, the brightest star of the night sky and loaded with symbolism, guiding elements for many ancient civilizations, and the counterpoint with the sun. In the image used on the cover (a real photo released by NASA), you can see a star in the foreground, having its light dazzled by the brightest star that glistens behind in a sky dense and black: Reborn in the dark, reborn in flames...” You can purchase and give a listen to the entire EP at this location.
