ELISABETH DIXON - Shares A Brand New Track

Keeping a low profile since the release of her world class debut LP1, the Australian techno/drone/ambient producer and artist Elisabeth Dixon officially unleashes her new track named "Asherah", after sneaking several experimental "untitled" previews into recent mixes. Released by Trait Records (Melbourne) and Instruments Of Discipline (Berlin), Dixon's debut LP1 quickly sold out in both Australia and Europe. The glowing critical response to Elisabeth Dixon's "masterfully executed" debut signalled an exciting new talent.
Elisabeth Dixon's new track fully integrates her earlier experiments with trance states, dreams and the unconscious. Her focus now shifts to binaural beats, expanding music's potential and exploring how certain frequencies directly alter human states of mind. Dixon's tracks are undeniably danceable but are also designed to activate dream-like states, functioning as a tool for altering moods and adding a new dimension to the listener experience. And the same could be said for "Asherah", a track which is about. Adam's mythical wife before Eve, not from his rib but as his equal. She has for thousands of years been derided as a whore, "consort" and corrupter of good men. "Asherah" is a reflection on the on the cyclical repetition of power and oppression over aeons. With a complex coupling of Delta and Theta waves, this track is not just for the club, but for deep dreaming and meditation. Listen to "Asherah" in the player below. Link
