Ireland based ritual/dark ambient/drone artist Ruairi O'Baoighill will release his third album entitled To See Without Eyes on 28th February via Cursed Monk Records. This album is the final part of Ruairi O'Baoighill's Rueayn trilogy. Travelling to the darkest parts of his psyche, O’Baoighill deeply explores his shadow self by means of psychedelic ritual. He gives voice to his findings in the form of musical composition. The writing of these compositions in his outer reality, is used to further explore, learn from, and work through, these dark parts of his inner reality. His live performances, represent both the ritual, and his shadow self. Incorporating candles, a pulpit and smoke to represent the ritual, and a robe, visuals, and his compositions to represent the shadow.
Being heavily inspired by nature, his catholic upbringing, his study of the occult, and the pagan history of his homeland, ritual has always played an important part in O’Baoighill’s life, and continues to do so. But he has since abandoned any religious beliefs and esotericism that have come from the minds of other men, and now follows his own belief system, OHMARAN. With the “OH” representing the natural vibration of the earth, the “MA” representing Mother Nature, and the “RAN” representing the self. OHMARAN, is the belief that everybody’s inner and outer reality are completely their own, and should not be dictated by the views of others. That we are not greater or less than anything else, and that the shadow self is something that should be fully embraced and used as a tool to educate ones self, not something to be shied away from and buried.
The album is available for pre-orders at this location and in the player below you can give a listen to a short promo video for the album. Link
